My Progress.

To make progress is to continue moving forward towards a goal or destination. It is a constant necessity in life to make progress. Without making progress of any sort, you would be stuck in the same place. Forever. To make progress is to age. To make progress is to grow and learn. It is something inevitable. Through the first month of this course, I have already made so much progress.

I didn't quite understand the concept of a microtheme at first. An argument, but don't argue... Stand up for something that you believe is wrong? To me, the whole idea just sounded like a mess. My first draft of our microtheme was just crazy and all over the place. Even I had no idea what the heck I was talking about. I had Dr. Kyburz read over my first draft... All the red markings were totally not too pretty. I learned from what she had advised me to do. I had to basically rewrite my entire paper.

After rewriting my microtheme paper, I felt so much more comfortable submitting it. it may not be A+ material, but I was so much less confused and more happy with the specific question I was asking. I learned that something we all do, can be so harmful. I really did stop and think about what I had to write. I am aware that throughout my editing and revising process, I had already made so much progress. I changed my whole idea, and I learned so much more than I thought I could from a paper based on an opinion. Progress is learning. Progress is important.

  1. I also had the same problem as you. I didn't really know the specifics on how to make a good micro theme paper. However, with the help from Dr, Kyburz, I slowly became more and more confident that I was going on the right track. Sometimes you just need to get that little bit of help and put in that extra work to make a good paper.
